I am a photographer. Yet more truthfully I would call myself simply a recorder, with no grandiose gesture of name; of image; life; expression; beauty as it is in the eye of all beholders.
When I see a truly captivating image, I must capture it.
Anyone who has that twinkle in their eye, who is able to express what they're feeling through their body language and facial expression and keep you guessing or titillate you, make you feel they've let you in on some great secret and keep you wanting more.
My real desire is to meet those truly like-minded; artistic and open-minded individuals whose first and foremost desire is to have life experiences, who chase that elusive quality of 'lightning' in a picture, to capture a moment; a moment unlike any other, so special and unique and colourful, no moment to ever be like it again, and then to experience that moment over and again, as many times as you want! because you have that image in your hand, inside a picture.
And the people! Oh, the people! Actors, models, parents, professional people, 'tis a hodgepodge of the truly weird and wonderful! And I believe anyone can have a great picture taken of them, it is a process of finding out what makes them tick and bringing it forth for the world to see, making them see something or perhaps realise something about themselves they had never noticed or seen until attention was drawn to how others saw it.
TATTOOS: I am a big big fan and constant indulger. I have work done regularly myself, and I love to take pictures of ANYONE with tattoos; I can broaden my colour and detail shots inside that narrow shooting window, the people are always fantastic down to earth and arty folk and I think they're ballsy and evoke a great response from people who see them, especially in photos.
The more tattoos, the merrier!
My true desire is to take as many pictures of outlandish and innovative and unusual and bubbly and personable and communicative and artistic people as I can.
I am self taught, with a Tolstoyian philosophy- it's not what you do but how much better than everybody else you are doing it.
I am always looking to network meet and photograph anyone. Experience NOT required. Having said that, I appreciate professionalism in all it's forms. No experience is not substitute for no-shows or last-minute cancellations, to which I am unsympathetic.
I love working with MUA's, stylists and fellow photographer's; fellow behind-the-sceners who see this world as I do but are able to paint their thoughts right onto living canvas. I have a huge respect for what they are and do; never pass up a chance at all to work with my peers.
Always happy to shoot TFP, of course, selective about the model and subject as is my wont, but usually ecited by ideas and raring to go.
You may definitely bring a friend along to a shoot, whether paying or TFP; I ask all entourages are kept to the bare minimum and that they are aware of the rules of a set/location.
- Listening to: pink floyd.
- Watching: black books.
- Drinking: my dinner.
I don't think I could be any angrier.
Have fun here!
